DIVISIONS & COMMITTEES
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIVISION
Community Appearance – Work on beautifying Brookhaven; beautification awards; clean-up campaigns; Adopt-a-Highway.
Lincoln County Leadership Program – Implement annual leadership development program for Brookhaven and Lincoln County.
Christmas Parade – Plan the Annual Christmas Parade.
Miss Hospitality – Hold an annual pageant to select Miss Hospitality to represent Brookhaven and Lincoln County at the state pageant and Chamber events.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DIVISION
IDF – Requires an additional $225 investment annually; responsible for industrial growth and expansion, industrial parks and sites.
Small Business/Seminars – Small business programs; seminars; assistance programs.
Brookhaven Retiree/Tourism – Work to attract and recruit retirees, as well as tourism marketing development for Lincoln County.
Governmental Affairs – Cover matters of interest to the Chamber regarding city, county, state and federal affairs and special events.
Ole Brook Festival – Plan the annual Ole Brook Festival.
Tour of Homes – Hold and plan the annual Tour of Homes.
Retail – Retail promotion programs.
EDUCATION DIVISION
Education – Recognize the educators of Lincoln County and Copiah-Lincoln Community College; select the Educator of the Year. Continue the Adopt-a-School program and encourage businesses and institutions to participate. Recognize 9th through 12th grade students who receive straight A’s. Mississippi Scholars is a new program this year.
MEMBERSHIP SERVICES DIVISION
Membership Development – Recruit and retain Chamber memberships.
Annual Banquet – Arrange the Annual Banquet to be held in November.
